''You Don't Know Jack'' is a 2010 television film directed by Barry Levinson and starring Al Pacino as Jack Kevorkian, based in part on the book, ''Between the Dying and the Dead: Dr. Jack Kevorkian's Life and the Battle to Legalize Euthanasia''.〔Stated in the film's credits〕 The film was shot in the New York boroughs of Queens, Staten Island and Brooklyn, as well as Detroit, Michigan, and surrounding areas (where the film also takes place). At the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards, Al Pacino won the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie, along with the Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award in 2011 for his role as Kevorkian. The film was also nominated for Outstanding Made for Television Movie at the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards. ==Plot== The film focuses on the life and work of physician-assisted suicide advocate Jack Kevorkian, who advocated the idea of doctor assisted suicide. His aim was to help the hopeless patients who are suffering debilitating pain to commit suicide effortlessly.
